Inspired by the opus sectile pavement laid at the Abbey of Monte Cassino by Byzantine craftsman around 1070. This unusual mosaic is made from mirror, Smalti glass, marble and faux marble. The piece is set in a painted cement surface and designed to work with the unusual glass lights in the floor.
